Comment:

Inspired primarily by one of my other great passions - video games, old and new. Not everything on here is directly from a game, rather inspired by games or performed on gaming systems. The links lead to all sorts of surprises - they are the liner notes that I'm just too plain lazy to post up in here.

Two things really jumpstarted this mix: The Only Station that Matters turning me on to Tree Wave by playing the included track late last Wednesday and the wonderful piece on video game, 8-bit and classic computer music that Tofu Hut did a little bit ago. Much of this stuff was lifted directly from the Hut.

Take the Porsche, take the kids
take the stocks, baby, take the rugs
Take those roses from my poor heart wilting
but, please, please, hey, please, leave me my red
joystick

I wish I could comment on the musical content, Joe, but I know none of the artists or songs. However, I applaud the obvious effort and thought which have gone into this mix, and if it's as good as your previous efforts then it'll be worth hearing. I was a sensible soccer, chaos engine, cannon fodder, Lemmings & Galaga freak, back in the good old days of the amiga!

Crazy theme, Joe. I'm (happily?) ignorant of this world...but it looks intriguing.

Cool idea! I'm with Gerry, though - I'm all about Centipede, myself.

Oh shit this looks so good. Where's Pacman Fever (or anything off that Buckner & Garcia album)?

I spent untold money in the arcades in my youth. Money better spent on drugs. "Time Pilot" was my favorite. This looks pretty cool.
