Comment:
I mixed the order around a bit, I just don't remember how I did it...but I had gotten random Skinny Puppy mp3's last year from random chat suggestions, & finally had enuff to put all onto a cd...I'm not sure which albums these come off of, cuz the only cd I actually have from them is VivisectVI, but i'm it seems to be a good sample of stuff from different albums I guess...just haven't decided what album to get next by them, so this will have to suffice until thenFeedback:
'Too Dark Park' is a lot of people's favorite, including mine. For something a little more club-oriented, 'Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse.' Avoid 'Last Rights' -- "Killing Game" is about the only listenable track on there (oddly, its one of their best songs too...in my opinion.)
Very nice compilation - If you have time check out the S.P. mix I made about a year ago. I disagree w/Blackadder on the Last Rites cd - I would suggest buying it though only to complete the cd collection. If you are gonna buy a SP disc,The Process is amazing tho many people disagree with me here. You picked out one the thier best discs to start with - Vivisect is exelent. Also Mind the perplexual intercourse is worth buying.
I think 'The Process' is a very good CD but I don't think it's the best to start out with. Oddly, 'VIVIsectVI' is my least favourite. I expected to like it more because of its thematic content but most of it is just too harsh for me.
Hard to pick a fave Puppy album, but do yourself a favor and go get all of them (yes, even "The Process"). This is a great bunch of tunes here, but there's so much more. I'd recommend getting the Bites & Remission CDs first. "Basement" alone is worth the price of admission.
