Shoot Cliff. I still have Vol 1 in my car. Each time it comes to the last track I tell myself it's time to move on to the next mix but I haven't been able to hit eject. Now you tell me about Vol. 2 & 3! I think I'm going to need a 6 changer player!!!

Bass is the place!
Another booming thunderama extravaganza from the pastoral French countryside. Great pick from the new Doves release and another one in that Electric Soft Parade..gets my heart thumpin'!

I am listening to volume 1 as we speak & it is SO shimmy-shakin good I want to sign up for the whole series. This looks like a worthy follow-up -- ce qui est Tloge en effet!

See, I was going towards the stage, attracted by a sizzlin' lead guitar. Most stood in rapture, but, to my surprise I noticed a few turn away. The lead guitar gave over to the piano and the piano took over without skipping a beat... rumblin' left hand rhythm with right hand triplits for the melody, I came closer and closer to the stage, but more were turning to leave, some, I noted, with fear in their eyes. Without a pause the drums took over and buillt insanely on what came before, but as I moved farther forward, more were leaving, most fearfully, some even running. I finally grabbed one and said 'what's wrong? why are you leaving these amazing solos'? With glazed eyes, and fearful lips, all he could say was... NEXT COMES THE BASS...
Actually I love the bass, and hope you don't forget the obvious... Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorius, and Victor Wooten! And thanks for the GREAT recent comments on my mixes
