Comment:

When I originally sketched out the idea of E Ho a few years back, I thought one cassette would suffice, but since then, I've become more technologically sophisticated & as you all probably know, these things take on lives of their own. One thing I was sure about, however, was that it would end with "East-West", lending the project a nice sense of circularity.

As I started assembling contenders for this final volume, the oportunity of placing Russ Conway (for those who don't know him, a British piano tinkler who was to Liberace roughly what Tommy Steel was to Elvis) alongside Butterfield, Bowie & Sanders without seeming too contrived was too good to pass up. I'd like to think I've gotten away with it.
