Comment:
Track 4 was written with Hunter S. Thompson in mind (15 years before Warren Zevon and the good doctor met and became fast friends). Track 17 was co-written with Hunter S. Thompson (his thumb prints are all over it) and released in 2002, the year before Warren lost his battle with cancer. Track 16 was chosen by Jimmy Buffett in live performances shortly after Thompson's death as a memorial (unscrolling a large portrate of him while the song was peformed). Track 14 played a prominent role in a near death experience from Thompson's classic book "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas". And the last track is the one Thompson requested be played full blast at the time his ashes were shot out of an 100 foot cannon over the valley of his ranch, clutched in a two thumbed fist in the spot that symbolized a peyote button. Sean Penn and Johnny Depp both wore memorial pins depicting the fist on top of a dagger at the Oscars.Feedback:
he will be missed. good mixx.
Looks good.
Nice one, Joe.
Only a year late, but I'm glad I saw this....I'm a big Hunter S. and Warren Z fan.
