As it is for many of us it's a rough go for me to get up for work in the morning, so I decided I needed to wake up to a song that I couldn't hate. I figured that even on my most sleep-deprived, cranky, can't-believe-I-have-to-leave-this-lovely-bed days, I couldn't get angry at Louis Armstrong singing about the wonderful world outside my room. The rest of the songs are suitably mellow complements that I was listening to a lot at the time. I realized only later that many of these picks appear in films I've seen. You know what they say about the power of suggestion...
