Comment:

I must admit that I cheated. I got all of these from Randy13's 80's archives. I apologize, but it's one of the fringe benefits of dating a brilliant man. Stay tuned for my next period piece: We Need More Calgon.

Have I ever told you how much I love '80s music? (Hint.) And _my_ birthday is next month. (Hint, hint.) And this is THE WORLD'S GREATEST MIX TITLE! *regains composure* This mix looks stellar. Is The Nomi Song palying in your neck of the woods yet?

This looks cool! I loved the 80's. in about 82 or 83 I remember a really characteristic 80's FM radio hit by Translator. something about "...my mind has a ... of its own...". Anyway, is the ice cream reference because it went mano a mano with Hagendaaz for about 2 weeks and then disappeared?

To answer Mossholder's question, the title inspired the mix. One day I did something slightly guilty, and "I ate all the frusen gladge" just came out of my mouth. I knew then that I would have to make a "period" mix with that. I just had this real specific sound that I wanted, not too popular but definitely familiar songs - bouncy or bright, but new wavey-ish. I had no idea where to find these songs until I went playing in randy13's music files. They were all there. In the end I didn't stick so strictly to the time the songs were made or the tone, but most do really fit. I feel guilty for using randy's archives, but I would do it again, too.

Yep, Nina freakin' Hagen!! Loads on this to love, and a very cool title. I especially like the 1-9 stretch.
