Comment:
This is a classic rock anthology to end all classic rock anthologies; at least from the perspective of an 18-year old who's growing up in a world of Ashlee Simpson and other low-talent artists with more houses than God himself. Thus, the Ten Commandments of Classic Rock is born--my friend sent me a list of songs he burned onto mixes (about 90 songs). It was about 4.5 CD's worth of songs; he's no mix talent though, and all the songs were in order by artist. Blah. I fixed it up, added some songs...actually there are 188 total. 10 complete CD's worth of classic rock, spanning 1965-1975 (for the most part), took some time, but I got it done. I decided 10 CD's, 10 commandments, it was definitely a sign, though I'm no religious man. No more than one song per artist on any CD. Many radio favorites that some will scoff at, but hey, they're classic. I figure I'll put the first two CD's up today, and then wait to put the rest up. Hope you dig it.Feedback:
Classics!
This has definitely got some fantastic moments. Personally, I'd pass on America (although if I *had* to hear a song of theirs, that's the one I'd pick, if only because it reminds me so much of an early-'70s George Harrison tune) and the Moody Blues.
