Comment:
The latest for-the-hell-of-it mix. Thanks to p the swede for the Orange Juice track and for providing me with my first real introduction to Kevin Coyne via his fantastic single-artist mix (I've since purchased the Siren albums and Marjory Razorblade). Title from the Gang of Four track.Feedback:
nice one. I like the butterfield pick especially.
Yea! Nice one! ;)
Good stuff, dig the Funkadelic.
anthony & the Johnson, wow what an album, and yes Eastbourne ladies and poor old soul are two personal faves but I like a lot on this one
Cool.I love Orange Juice
Looks cool (particularly the Joy Division/Floyd segue). The reunited Gang of Four is hitting San Francisco in a few weeks, but I'm not gonna be able to make it. Bummer.
Nice to see Sandy Bull & Bobby Charles in with that crowd. Cool mix.
Excellent mix! I really like the Funkadelic - Pink Floyd stretch.
Cool mix, Rob. Great Orange Juice and Buzzcocks picks.
Fantastic. Kevin Coyne is amazing-- check out "Babble", his collaboration with Dagmar Krause... if you can find it! Love the Antony pick too.
Nice Rob and probably the least obscure that I remember (that's a compliment)
That Antony and the Johnsons is one of my favorite albums so far this year... This is a nice mix. :)
Looks great, Rob. As I've said before, "Blend" is 20+ minutes of transcendent bliss.
Looks good, Rob. Thanks for reminding me how much I loved that Unrest LP. That Funkadelic track's going to be on the all Detroit mix I'm working on now.
Any mix that begins with Giant Sand automatically gets my attention. Looks quite good, Rob!
beautiful. dear god do you ever tire of it??? i suppose i should send you an email huh? love that v.u. song
Lots of faves here. Love the Funkadelic and Velvets picks especially. And seeing Giant Sand on a mix reminds me that I have neglected my Giant Sand records for far too long.
