Comment:
This mix came about not by concept, but by clarity of pure love. Love is a warm emotion, and all of these songs (With the exception of the verses in "Run" and that breakdown bit after the second chorus of "Bridge and Tunnel") have that beautiful vibe about them. A testament to the power of music! A true testament that this mix may just have the power to make mundane love warm. I tried to tie up my personification of the best musical representation of love. What should it sound like? Well, the more orchestrated crescendos and whimsical vocals prevailed on paper, Theoretically, these sounds are more symbolic to love. It took several nights to get right, I didn't want any filler. It was all mixed with album esque persision, as in, all very carefully organized (I enjoy feeling accomplished.) These tracks are so so so easy to become attached to. You can sigh a huge overwhelming sigh of romantic ecstasy over these songs..tracks that unfortunately have no real romantic depth but rely more on the fuzzy whimsy of love. Let the Indie kids and Art Rockers have their moment out of melancholy! (Yes, let me be happy, please please please Let me get what I want) Light Hearted and designed to accompany that outrageous giddiness (happiness?) of La-La-Love. Up is the new down.Feedback:
Great job - nice Bright Eyes inclusion. The comments really aid in making the mix's mission more apparent and palpable. I think Such Great Heights may speak more to the sentiment of love than any song in recent memory. Good job and thanks for your critique of my mix.
Beautiful.
