Comment:
Lame mix of the week or Songs you hate to love. The british journalist Sean Rowley, famous from the cover of (What's the story) Morning glory, have made 2 cds full of stuff you shouldn't suppose to like and they are wonderful, check them out, I bought mine at Amazon UK, this is my version of it, this is the ballad edition, next one are more uptempo, which song would you include if you did a mix like this ?Feedback:
There are a few of these songs I like, and a few I really dislike, but I'm not gonna tell you which ones! A good win for Sweden last night!!!!!!!!
13 & 14 can play on a mix of mine anytime. Peace be with you Peter.
I'm not only mean you could pick songs from here, of all the songs in the world which one are you a little bit of ashame to admit you like ?
You're pushing it p!!! I do admit to liking Ahas second & third album which have a doomy Nordic feel to them..& 12 & 13 I can listen to..& I'm a Dolly fan...I can't think of any guilty pleasures off hand but I'm sure my mixes are full of them...I love Bon Jovi's Dead Or Alive...I like REM..I LIKE Nirvana & Pearl Jam & I still like much of The Doors....in truth if I like something I don't care what other people think...anyway, P, I hope things turn round for you..maybe the spring will bring forth new opportunities..take care.
Oh yeah...though I absolutely despise U2 I like some of their stuff if that makes sense.
In one of those countless "Read these things, they are funny" e-mails we get, one immediately comes to mind while looking over this mix: I don't care what other people think. They don't do it enough for me to worry about. Guilty Pleasures (also the title of an Anita Blake novel!) should be a separate catagory, and I may have to put one together myself!
Tough question. Maybe something by Savage Garden?
Numbers 12 and 13 are HUGE guilty pleasures for me.
I hope everything turns out OK for you, Peter. Like the others said: Spring is a time of renewal, for nature and people.

hang in there......as for these guilty pleasures, mmmm, i'm afaraid i'm guilty about not liking any of them ; ( doesn't mean they're no good though!!!!
'Bright Eyes' and Foreigner I'll have... there are some howlers on here! Take care P.
The only song here I really like is Chicago's "If You Leave Me Now" (which I deeply despised at the time). And as for GPs: "Seasons in the Sun", maybe . . . or "Silly Love Songs" . . . or some really atrocious Rod Stewart ballad like "Tonight's the Night" . . . Jeez, there's a truckload.
Nice Stuff.
Hang in there Peter! My guilty pleasures are Beth Orton and Chicago's Wishing You Were Here...
Peter - suddenly I am not feeling so guilty about my Guilty Pleasures mix. But I still have that Climax song permanently burned to it, like one final kick in the ass to closw with. I do like the Foreigner song.
Lame is right. Most of these songs are so lightweight that I'm surprised they even stuck to the CD! I can't think of any guilty pleasure ballads -- except for maybe Chicago's "Wishing You Were Here."
You're a brave man with a soft creamy filling, P. Can't wait to see the uptempo edition.
who knew this seamy underbelly existed beneath the typical swede mix? can't say I'm not suckered by a few of these as well tho...
you know,i used to have loads of guilty pleasures and then one day it dawned on me that music could never inflict guilt:)so i don't anymore:)
good idea with this mix - I have to say, however, that I really hate some of these! I'm not sure that I am brave enough to open up to this scrutiny! Fair play to you!
I make it a point that I never leave a negative comment on any mix but...I hope to god I never have to hear that Foreigner track ever again!
6 is a guilty pleasure of mine. Brave mix.
I think I hate every one of these songs with a passion, although I'd probably grant the Supertramp and Wham songs a slightly smaller reprieve. I hope that everything goes better for you soon.
"...which song would you include if you did a mix like this ?"
I guess the electronic/ambient equivalent would be stuff like Hot Butter's Popcorn or Gary Numan's Cars...or something by, ugh...Yanni; & the Jazz version would be a Single Artist mix of Kenny G tunes.

Peter, sorry things are so rough for you. Don't forget to breathe deeply. And in the meantime, whatever gets you through the nigh!
Excellent. I don't see where the guilt comes in? (Except for "Tears in Heaven". If you like that song, you are not only guilty, you are worthy of the death penalty ;)
Hope you're ok, P.
i would probably include Howard Jones "No One Ever is to Blame" even though i know in my heart of hearts that i should kick my own ass for liking him...
Well... there's one on here I like a lot. Wishin' you well too.
The only one I can agree with here is the Supertramp track - but they have songs I like way better...
