Remember long pants? They're a thing of the none-too-recent past, my friend. Today the score is knee deep; shorts are the way of the future, of course, but also of the past -- or have you not been to a Spermbirds gig lately?In the sweat-soaked words of Axl Rose, "God infuckingvented the sock to be seen". And not only that, he invented rock to be had, and to be made by men in trousers fit for floods -- floods of adoration -- by a public starved for shiny calves and shins.

DUDE! that's my absolute favorite gunsmoke UK track -- especially the backwards chevy chase samples from "fletch" near the end.
I believe Peter Buck of R.E.M once said he would sooner appear on stage naked than in shorts. And of course there is the old saying that all musicians should adhere to: "Unless you're Angus Young, you shouldn't be wearing shorts on stage". That said, I predict we will see bands such as the Strokes and Franz Ferdinand wearing shorts on stage within 5 years.
of course, the problem with short pants is that you have to have the legs for them, and so few people do.
