there have been so many amazing releases in 2005 so far, and this mix was to showcase what i thought were some of the best songs i've had the pleasure of hearing. i must admit--i am a cheater and i download albums months in advance, so some of these aren't even released yet!

Dude, that LCD Soundsystem song is so much better than any actual Daft Punk song. Good stuff.

There's also a couple of records on here that I also own, but which just didn't make it on my mix. Some of these records have not been released here in Germany (Decemberists, Crooked Fingers), but I'm really looking forward to them.

You're damn right those are some of the best songs so far... and I find it hard to believe that any better could come down the pike.
