The music says it all. Great series of classics.
I love that particular Simon & Garfunkel song (although they, in general, leave me cold & I loathe their solo work), as well as that VU song, the Beatles (one of my favorites by my favorite band) and the Byrds (ditto for one of my favorite bands) choices. I also bow to the Dylan, MC5, and Hendrix picks, and like the Airplane, Led Zep (one of the first punk songs, if you ask me) and Dead tracks.
