Comment:

For the hell of it. This took some time to lock itself in, but I think that it was worth the turmoil (both with my burner and with my own shifting of the sequencing). Thanks to hemizen for including the complete Baldry song on a recent mix and reminding me that I'd been meaning to use the monologue portion of that tune on a mix for quite some time. Also thanks to John Darnielle of the Mountain Goats for recording another classic album, from which the "Dennis Brown" song is pulled. The Go-Go's song is a nod to p the swede and his "Guilty Pleasures" series. Title from Mr. Waits and Ms. Anderson.

Really, really great stuff, Rob. Just picked up that particular Dino Jr. reissue this past weekend. The Go-Go's, Antony & the Johnsons, Iggy, FF, Talking Heads and X tracks (among others) are also fantastic. Good luck with your burner issues.

oh yeah. I really enjoy your "hell of it" mixes. It's all good, but I particularly like your opener, 3-8, and your Feat pick.

Love that Funkadelic, though I'll need to listen to the Parliamnet version now to see which one's better. I rediscover that Laurie Anderson single ever few years. Whenever I use it on a mix I'll dig it at first, but then regret it after a spin or two. Lemme know how it holds up for you.
