Comment:
120 minutes. Hyperbole. An examination of a lot of the majorly hyped bands from 2000 to now. Most of the HYPE was internet based. (Grandaddy ended up absent due to time constraints, remember how "The Sophtware Slump" was the American "OK Computer"?) I added some other stuff to pad it all out.I buy the shit, so I guess I'm a sucker.
Feedback:
ho ho holy lawd. this deserves commendation. super picks from the furnaces, interpol, clinic, bss, kings, queens, hood, sigur (almost threw that track on my last mix!), and a great closing three. Hats off.
Well, great idea, and, quite frankly (to me, anyway), Wilco, The White Stripes, Fiery Furnaces and Godspeed are totally worth every bit of hype that they've received... with the Strokes, OutKast, Radiohead and Sigur Ros not far behind... and Franz Ferdinand and Yeah Yeah Yeahs certainly have their moments.
Its not bragging if you can back it up! Some very nice stuff hear (here).
Call me a sucker too, for the most part.
