Guess what? My wife and I finally had our first daughter! Astrid Lally, with middle name as yet undetermined, is born. I could wax "poetic" for hours about how wonderful she is and how great I feel. It's like my heart has jumped out of my body and is moving around. Hell, I can even forget about the bush administration for a while. This is a mix for my amazing wife - songs I know she loves; music to make her feel good while stuck in the hospital for a bit. Astrid Lally - born a few hours after the Pope died ... not that there's any signficance to that ... necessarily.Feedback:
Congratulations, on both your daughter and this mix. Remember, dark black poops are normal at this stage! ; )
Congratulations, Sean. I'd like to hear all about your experiences. As for the mix, it looks poignant.
Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. It's a great feeling.Plenty of great songs on this.
CONGRATULATIONS. I've been meaning to call you since I got your message yesterday morning, but things have been crazy, crazy, crazy on my end (though not as much as they have been on your end). Fantastic mix for a fantastic mom, my friend.
congrats, Sean. this looks fantastic...my wife and i are going to make mixes so our kids can hear our favorite stuff in utero...now all i need is a fetus with some ears...
Heartfelt congratulations to you and your good wife, Sean. Life will never be the same for you from now on. Things just get better and better! This is a wonderful mix, great songs, great sentiment and very best wishes from all at Chez McDonald!
CONGRATULATIONS. Advice? Get sleep whenever possible! Beautiful mix and Astrid is a Beautiful Name:) I wish you and your FAMILY the best!

Congratulations to the three of you!
Congratulation!!!! This is - as always - a great mix. You realize, of course, that Astrid will rebel by listening to Top 40 only.
Congrats!!! I can't wait to hear the first mix she posts.
Congrats Sean & welcome to the next frontier of adulthood.
Sean, that's great! I'm really happy to hear that. Take care.
Great news poppa Lally! Understand that you're only going to get 12 hours sleep -- in the next 6 months ;) So where are some pics of the newborn for us to fuss over?
Congratulations Sean... Astrid is a beautiful name and, no kidding, my favoured name if I ever have a daughter. Oh and great tunes too!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!this is the best reason for a mix ever:)
Ad Astrid Per Aspera!
Congratulations Lallys!!!
Congratulations Lallys!!!
Congratulations Sean! It was great to seeing you & Rob recently, hangin' out at your favorite record store, having lunch and talkin' about the baby that was coming so soon. You were a little jumpy and had the faraway look in the eye of an expectant father waiting for the phone call. So Astrid it is! Wonderful name. Great mix too.
Congrats, Sean & family!
Nah, she'll rebel by listening to Toby Keith. ;-)
Congratulations Sean.......what a great time and name!!!!!!!!!!
... and voting Republican. ;-)
Oh wow, this is real nice. And congrats, Sean!
congratulation, finally someone here have something good to tell us
Wow, I almost missed this...Congratulations, Sean! I think Astrid will enjoy this mix in a few years as well!
Congrats Sean & great lookin' mix!

So pleased for you & your wife Sean. Takes a little adjustment but it just gets better & better. When you get your first smile I tell you your heart will melt. Gorgeous name & beautiful mix. Like Peter said hooray for some good news at last. (Oh yeh my advice is get Astrid used to high volume from the off, I love it when Freja says, "Louder Daddy." Means she sleeps through anything & everything now too.)
Congratulations!
Congrats and all the best, Sean. And a fab mix this is, too. I wish my gal was into Pylon. ;)
Wow, Sean, I totally missed this event, and might have remained in the dark had I not seen the lyric from one of my favorite songs of all time pop up in the mix title. Congrats. And count me in among the parents who can confirm that, no matter what you do to raise your boys and girls in an identical fashion, it becomes apparent pretty quickly that they're just wired differently. (My daughter, like many girls with big brothers, is a total tomboy, refusing to wear dresses and kicking most boys' asses all over the soccer field, but still has a completely different emotional makeup than our son.) Mazel Tov to you & your family.
Congratulations! Great news, a great mix, and a great name for your new daughter.
congratulations sean !
Congratulations. Astrid is such a cool name!
congrats on your daughter! and i agree with french - keep the music loud, after all, she used to have this heart beating right next to her. and from my own experience, feed her a ramones diet, and don't become too discouraged when she ends up watching the wiggles 24/7. you can say it won't happen, but it will
