Comment:
Solo artists whom I consider eccentric for their songs, life-style or the sheer inability to conform to musical trends. Obviously, there are many artists who are absent.and I can hear those of you who have stumbled into this mix shouting Tom Waits..Beck.Prince.Lee Perry.Dion.that's why this is Vol 1. I say again this mix is confined to solo artists.Feedback:
Like the beat of these walkers to different drums.
Far be it for me to ever question your impeccable taste or choices, but is/was Sonny ever a solo artist? One muses and moves on. Ah, the incomparable Mary Margaret O'Hara. Many things to love here ... looking forward to more volumes ... no backtalk from me!
Absolutely fantastic... please let's trade!
You've excelled yourself my good man.
Fantastic!
I love the sound of the lone weirdo. Great stuff all around, Dom. Looking forward to this series going on a long time.
every single one's a killer, and i flat-out love that ayers track. buenissimo, man.
I know a lot of these artists but not necessarily the tracks you've chosen.
Love Violin.
A wonderfully intriguing mix, D.

Wow. Dom you never cease to amaze. I find it impossible to listen to too much Kim Fowley
A wonderful collection full of nice surprises.
Say it as many times as you like, but I like that this bodes well for the future! Bless the eccentrics!
Brilliant, as ever, Dom . Love the Laura Nyro and.......oh, all of it!
Great choices Dom... I trust you've got Serge lined up for vol 2...
Good stuff mate. How bland would the world be without eccentrics to stir things up. I once played "The Year In Song" on my college radio show. Some guy called in and asked why I was playing a song about urine ;)
Okay, Dom! Seriously! You start a mix with the great Ivor Cutler, you include the wonderful "Andy's Chest," plus Bobbie Gentry, David Bowie, Kevin Ayers, etc....damn, man! Your mixes kill me! I know you probably don't swap much, considering tapes are a hassle to make, but if you ever feel like a trade, please drop me a line. I am always stunned by you!
