Don't Let It Bring You Down (Neil Young)
Comment:
A mix of early Neil Young for my sister who recently discovered that she too had an aneurysm. Neil Young's treatment was successful and my sister will soon find out if she can have a similar procedure or need brain surgery. I'll be making some mixes for her as she and my family goes through this tough time.Feedback:
wishing your sister the Best George! great early NY!if you haven't been to SF yet, you should make it to Village Music in Mill Valley. one of the best "collectible" vinyl shops in the world, and John's one of the best.
This is about all you need
Beautiful music.
Great classic Young. Hope your sister comes through well!
Hope your sister fares well. Nice tribute to early Neil; there are a million ways to do one of these, and I could put one together that varies completely from this (i.e. "Mr. Soul," "Broken Arrow," "Revolution Blues," "Don't Be Denied," etc.) -- but you definitely pack this with career highlights (and nice to see a nod to some of the prettier and less appreciated tracks from Gold Rush.
Lovin' the Neil! I agree it's definitely nice to see some songs from After the Gold Rush, a personal favorite. Cowgirl in the Sand is a great way to end. Good luck to your sister!
Best Wishes to your sister George...great retrospective here...I adore Cinamon Girl, Helpless & the wonderful Down By The River!
wonderfrul stuff and hope everythings getting better
If I was asked to name just one personal fave musician 'Old Shakey' would be the one without hesitation. I'm a Neil Young fanatic & it doesn't seem to lessen with age either! So with just a hint of bias, this is superb George. Wishing your sister the same success as Neil had.
Long may she run.
George - your splitter email was very touching and heartfelt. I sure hope your sister appreciates all this fine music, and your efforts to bring it to her. Best of luck to her!!
oh yes - I love all this, and Country Girl is quite sublime.

Top notch mix, with some of my Neil favorites to boot(Tell Me Why, Down By The River, Cowgirl in the Sand)... Just what the doctor ordered :)
Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful.
oh neil. I just made use of him, actually.... but not nearly as well as you have.
I'm aligned with popkulcher, but the choices here can't be argued. Solidly Shakey. Your heart's in the right place.
what the kids all said. you can't go wrong with this period neil. all the best to you and yours....
A wonderful tribute to the best years of the old man. Sincere best wishes to your sister. Please keep us informed, George.
Nice mix and I hope it brings your sister happiness and peace in this trying time. You can't go wrong with this period of Neil.
Count me in on being a Neil Young fan and praying for you and yours.
Classics all the way... you've just reminded me how much I love these tunes!
Never a big fan of single artist mixes, but when they are well done, I must comment. And this one, George, is quite well done.My thoughts and prayers are with you and your sister.
