Comment:

There are two more tracks: "Scotch Grove" and "There Will Be No Divorce". Otherwise, not much... my favorite 80 minutes by my favorite "band" that is still releasing relevant music.

I've heard really good things about the Mountain Goats--just curious, what does the music sound like? I may pick up a disk now that I've finally found a good record store here in Indy.

I LOVE The Mountain Goats!! If you have yet to see them live(or him, depending on the day)...you don't know what you are missing.

There is nothing that can possibly express the intensity of John Darnielle's music. Or maybe it's not the music. At all. Of course, it's the lyrics. What else would it be? And considering that all of his music (except for -Tallahassee-, the latest album, and a few albums on -The Coroner's Gambit [I believe], which were recorded in studio) was recorded on a Panasonic boombox witha dysfunctional condenscer mic the focus is definitely on the lyrics. When the heck's he coming around the New York City area again??

I would love to hear this -- it's a band that I have only heard bits and pieces from yet have loved all I've heard...

Years and years ago, when I was first getting into tMG, I used this mix as a template for downloading some of their music. I've been a fan ever since and now own more than 20 of their albums/recordings. Thanks so much!
