Comment:

After a bunch of theme/genre mixes and single artist comps, always nice to relax with a thoroughly random mix of odds & ends. Just grabbed what was lying around and caught my eye; some recent acquisitions, old dinosaurs headed for storage, unfiled compilations, and a few mixes picked up from AOTM-ers (shout-outs to Rob & Sean here). Should help me deal with tomorrow's cross-country flight.

This is great! Lots of stuff I haven't heard in years - love that Fugs tune, and the John Trubee cut is absolutely brilliant, Would love to trade for this if you're interested.

Yeah, this is great (and you're welcome--let me guess, you used stuff from my Swell Maps and Roches mixes, and I think "The Classical" may have been on a mixed-genre mix that I sent you?). I really, really, really love that Fugs song, as well, along with a lot of other things here.

Swell Maps & Roches from some of Rob's single artist mixes (filling some gaping holes in my collection), Trubee & Fugs from Sean's legendary Sexx Mixx.

Is there a Turing Test for mixes? Can a human determine if a mix was assembled by man or machine?

Nest -- yes, "Love My Way" is a Furs cover. (And Portastatic is doing Badfinger, Chris Stamey doing Television, and Shatner doing Pulp -- which, of course, is the must-hear track of the year.)
