Comment:
when i was 17 i used to go visit my ex-boyfriend, who lived all alone (well...alone with his strange family) on a mountain in west virginia, quite frequently. i know, har har, incest and sex with sheep. laugh all you want, because the area he lived in is one of the most beautiful places on earth (also, the sheep are relatively good lays compared to elsewhere). my memories of going there, especially the long scenic drives to and from his house, correspond to the music i was listening to with disturbing clarity, and since i was just falling in love with mum, there's a lot of morr music artists on this mix. but that twinkly tweaky sound captures the magical feeling and otherwordly appearance and feel of that place, as well as that awful, euphoric, sickly feeling of falling in love with a beautiful someone in a beautiful place, in a startingly tangible way. i would try to describe the beauty of that place and those moments in words...but they make the whole thing seem ugly. so i went for pretty music instead. the lcd soundsystem may seem a little out of place, but it fits...as for the rest of it, it makes for a perfect meditating or relaxing or i need to pass out cd. also good for smoking weed, but i quit. for me this is just a cd to remember the good times.Feedback:
Great story, but even better mix. Dabrye a.k.a. Tadd Mullinix is a musical genius.
