Comment:
The Pink Panther is the James Bond/Hugh Hefner of the cartoon world.
While other characters are mindlessly pursuing their never-ending urges to kill one another (see: Tom & Jerry, Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner, Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny, et. al), the Pink Panther dons a tux and throws a cocktail party.
He foils the plans of the evil genius du jour, then heads back to the pad for some high style. And you just know he's getting all kinds of tail.
I believe this is the sort of mix the Pink Panther would cue up before tossing back a few martinis and hitting the grotto.
Note: I suppose this is more of a "mocktail" mix, since my intention in making it wasn't to follow the phases of a real, future cocktail party. That's already been done, to great effect, by ScienceAppliance (Mix IDs: 67356, 67355, and 67354). With this mix, I wanted to capture a feeling of utter coolness and hold it, like a wicked groove, throughout an entire mix.
Enjoy. :)
Feedback:
Somebody should name a cocktail "the Pink Panther" (or has that been done) & then drink a lot of them while listening to this mix. I like it!
Hey, nice one. I like your idea. But the name seems to be taken. According to the Pernod NewsBureau, some drinks that feature Pernod are the Pink Panther, French Fizz, Pernod Paradise, Pernod Sunrise, Rosmarino and the New Orleans Sazerac. Speaking of mixes and mixed drinks, I'll bet there's a "frankenstein" drink, too!
