Spring of 1999 -- I'm selling some records on ebay so that I can eat...some kid buys a few off of me and I send him a really crappy mixtape as a "bonus". Looking back on it now, it was probably the worst mixtape I've ever made.--------------
Spring of 2005 -- One day I randomly get a myspace message from some guy who claims I sent him a mixtape in 1999. We get to talking and to make a long story really short and leave you completely in the dark, I end up driving 13 hours from Chicago to Atlanta to hang out with him for the weekend. Mixtapes bringing people together 6 years later, who knew?
--------------Anyway, this is a mix I just made for him to make up for the really horrible one 6 years prior. I painted the case and hand drew the insert. Basically it's just a mix of good songs. No underlying theme or hidden messages here--just good music.

That's the kind of story always at the back of my mind. Six years? Amazing. It's just a pity I don't think I've heard any of the songs.
