Are all the best songwriters depressed geniuses? Tested out my new CD burner by taking a stab at an (almost) definitive Nick Drake single disc best-of (I've promised copies to a couple of friends aleady). The track list is almost identical to the 'Saturday Sun' cassette mix I submitted not long ago (which, by the way, provided a wonderful soundtrack for two recent roadtrips to Arizona), but I had to weed out a few songs... a very, very difficult task as it turned out. 22 songs in just over 74 minutes and not a loser in the bunch (Actually, I just updated this... now it's 22 songs in just under 80 minutes). Jawdroppingly beautiful music.
