The perfectly constructed power ballad is David Foster's signature, and he even brings out wild man Alice Cooper's inner romantic (albeit with a lunatic twist) on 1978's "How You Gonna See Me Now," which features lyrics from celebrated Elton John collaborator Bernie Taupin. The producer was on familiar ground when he arranged Skylark's "Wildflower" for boy band Color Me Badd: Foster had been a member of Skylark back in the early '70s, when he followed work as a member of Chuck Berry's backing band with a move to Los Angeles.
