I'm trying to convince myself that I need to get out there and be happy and bright and shiny and whatnot. So this is the first mix, meant to make me feel good, but it's decidedly poppy, so I'd listen to this first as a setup to the next one. Well, now I'm gonna point out the most meaningful quotes in the songs to the theme.

1.) "Time is precious as you say it is. I wanna know that we didn't miss. I've dodged so many bullets that I'm careful now."
2.) "Let go your heart, let go your head, and feel it now."
3.) "I wanna shine on in the hearts of men, I want a meaning from the back of my broken hand." 4.) "Everybody's gotta hold on hope, it's the last thing that's holding me."
5.) "Don't cry, don't raise your eye. It's only teenage wasteland." --- That, plus the song just has a "go out there, and do stuff" feel to it.
6.) "Well I don't know what I'm looking for, but I know that I just wanna look some more. And I won't be satisfied, till there's nothing left that I haven't tried. For some people it's an easy choice, but for me there's a devil and an angel's voice."
7.) "Things begin, things decay, and you've gotta find a way, to be OK."
8.) "Come on, and catch my disease." --- Actually this song is really here for just the feeling of it, it just makes me so carefree, the lyrics just don't speak of it directly.
9.) "Get yourself together, cause we've got to make things happen. While there's still time to do it right."
10.) "Peace and love, peace and love, that's all I'm think of, baby, peace and love." --- This is another one that just feels good and cool.
11.) "If drinkin' coffee's your idea of really cool, you can't expect no crazy chick to notice you. Just sittin' there dreamin instant pleasure."
12.) "This whole damn world can fall apart, you'll be ok, follow your heart." and "But when the night is falling, and you cannot find the light. If you feel your dream is dying, hold tight, you've got the music in you."

18.) "Could everyone agree that no one should be left alone." --- In a way another just general feel-good song.
19.) "Sometimes I feel the uncertainty stinging clear, and I can't help but ask myself how much I let the fear take the wheel and steer. It's driven me before, and it seems to have a vague, haunting mass appeal, but lately I'm begining to fint that I should be the one behind the wheel."
20.) "Bet you are tired of being upset, always wanting something you never can get. Life's no illusion love's not a dream, now I know just what it is."
21.) "You've got to trust your instinct, and let go of regret. You've got to bet on yourself now, star, 'cause that's your best bet."
