I guess this is sort of a crush/break up mix. I've had a crush on this boy for years.... sort of an off/on type of thing. Finally, one day it was as if he saw me in an entirely different light. He asked me out, and we dated for a couple weeks. Then all of a sudden he broke up with me. This tape is the aftermath... about a boy I never thought I could care about like this. We broke up and suddenly to me we were "just friends", quite possibly the worst term I could want to hear. I didn't know what to do, but I couldn't stop liking him. They call them crushes for a reason I suppose. Eventually, I came to the point I'm at now, where it just kills me to like him. The title is from the Sunny Day Real Estate song.
