Comment:

Yet another strange mix of the happy and sad (or at least quietly thoughtful; I think The Caesars, Amy Ray, Homegrown, and the last 6 or so songs on the mix reflect this). Basically just a cross-section of the music I'm currently listening to, but like most snapshots of music "periods" I go through on a month-to-month basis, the songs have sort of somehow bonded and fused together into a single unit. This is my soundtrack for May, 2005, and as ill-fitting as some of the songs may seem, to my ears they all belong perfectly. And no, I will not apologize for "Hollaback Girl". It's catchy. Oh, and I chose the title based on how hot and sweaty it is around here these days (southern California is already nearing 100 degrees), coupled with the really weird/pensive/depressed mood I've been in lately. Like I'm in this dreamy haze of highs and lows...as usual. That's my life...I dunno what to make of it, but here's kinda how it sounds right now.
