Comment:

For the hell of it. Thanks to p the swede for the Throbbing Gristle track, to lo-fi for calling my attention to the Tyrannosaurus Rex track and providing me with much of the Pop Group's oeuvre awhile ago, and to Stephin Merritt for spinning the Shangri-Las track followed by Serge's "Bonnie and Clyde" at the John Waters opening at the Andy Warhol Museum last Friday. Title from the good Captain, more or less.

Looks very nice, although I never did care too much for that particular Nilsson (I can still remember seeing it on TV)

Some lovely things here, but I especially love the Isaac Hayes. I saw him perform that on American Bandstand, all 8 minutes, when I was a kid. There was Isaac in his chain mail period. Oh, and Cind Incidentally, too!

This looks great! It's finally getting hot here (it was rainy and cool last week), and this looks exactly like what I should be listening to!

Once again, I know hardly any of these, but if the Cramps, Gang of Four, Gainsbourg, Suicide and Pere Ubu ones are owt to go by, it must be a winner

Very cool. I saw Donovan live in concert last month when he came to St. Paul with John Mellencamp. He was great. Though i wished he played more than four songs.

There was a John Waters opening & I wasn't informed!? Glad to see you agree that Elemental Child is a phased-out epic & to spread the word on The Pop Group. Thank our Swedish brother in sound for that one as well. No argument from me about the status of nearly everything here. Even the Nilsson tune looks good in this company.

Great stuff, Rob. That Shangri-Las through Isaac Hayes stretch does look particularly great. Nice to see the Mars Volta in there, too.

Good stuff. I happen to love that Nilsson song. Does anyone else remember its use in a car commercial? I believe the car was called the Arrow, though I don't remember who made it.
