Comment:
Summertime just demands to be spent at a cottage. Barbeque-ing under the stars, hanging out near a lake, sitting around a fire at night and enjoying the great outdoors. It also calls for tunes to remind us of summers gone by, hence the stretch of oldies that leads off this mix. I'll admit, anytime I hear the intro to "Reaper" these days I think of the Chris Walken/Wil Ferrel sketch on SNL...that exaults the virtue of "more cowbell". Sweet - Clint Eastwood! I've been listening to the first Gorillaz album ever since the new one came out. NICE variety mixing in old tunes with new stuff - it makes the Foo Fighters cover at the end fit in even sweeter! I'm probably going to take your cue and create a second summer mix for myself - because you can never have too many!
