Comment:

The second tape from Steve... and another great one. Haven't listened to it in awhile, but looking at it now, I have no idea why.

kelly, i'm really not sure if it is an act of genius or total negligence to name a tape after arguably the ramones' best ever song and then leave it out of the mix. and i care why? because i'm actually currently working on a cd for my daughter that will probably include that very same song ... "the best girl in the whole wide world ..."

i had an ex who adored (probably still does) the ramones. if he were to
grow his long and dye it black, i'm sure he'd be close to the spitting image of him. (wasn't there
a television show called spitting image? with political puppets?) not this has much to do with anything ..other than
the fact for a minute i was reminded of why 96 was somewhat kick ass.

Spitting Image? I really don't remember... it's funny though, before I met Steve, I didn't know anyone who was so nuts about the Ramones. Now I've got him. Roger, in answer to your question, every tape he makes me is named after a Ramones tune, but the actual tune is never on the tape... a conscious decision on his part, I think. (I'll vote for act of genius, but I suppose I'm a little biased! :)
