Comment:
Is this country? I don't want to just put "Mixed Genre" either because that sounds like a copout. Not really much theme going on. For example, Acuff-Rose follows Tornadoes because of the song "Rose of San Antone". I was hesitant to add this mix because of the Cat Stevens song, but, heck, we all have our guilty pleasures, right? At least Cat had the soundtrack to Harold & Maude (main reason I bought this collection for "Trouble"). Morning Has Broken does sit nicely between the Beatles and Billie. Plus the fact that we sing it at church actually makes it cooler (in my point of view). From church to GG Allin, anybody seen the documentary with GG doing Carmelita? Plus the best version of "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere", punto, with the McGuinn references.Rehabbed my deck last night listening to this, also I was transplanting some Cleome volunteers when during blackbird, a blackbird sat on the fence by the tomatillos to chirp in time to the song. Well, at least in my mind...
Feedback:
Another great mix from the man with fine taste.
Very nice!
