Comment:

This past year I taught 7th grade history, and I knew it would be my last year. I felt a little nostalgic, and I wanted to give a few something to help them through high school and beyond. I thought a mix would be a great parting gift, and, since I was leaving, I couldn't get in trouble for it! Who would a parent call? I'd be gone. I tagged on the historical mix part in case the principal or other critical adults saw me give it to the students. I typed up little comments for each song, tying it to my class somehow. A few of the ties were shaky, but most were solid. Music is history, at any rate.

That is really a cool gift to give to your class. I know I would have appreciated it, if not the age they are now later they will.

awesome idea for a parting gift - maybe it'll even help them remember the history you taught them ! :)
