It's Like That
Comment:
1. Blue Note finally saw fit to reissue this record. With Joe Henderson and Steve Swallow2. Those Trojan box sets are great(if you get them for cheap) This is from the 1st volume of the dub set
3. Summertime makes me want to listen to hip-hop
4. A Chicagoan who plays piano and electronics. This is a solo piano track from his new record
5. Great
6. Just got the Complete Serge Chaloff. A baritone saxophonist who died young.
7. This is one of those records I thought I'd never hear. Then someone reissued the BYG catalog, on vinyl no less.
8. Tsahar was? is? married to Susie Ibarra. He plays tenor in a new old style
9. Triff is a violinist from cuba. This song is the perfect soundtrack music, I just need to make the movie that it goes in.
10. This is an electronics track from the same record
11. "Music for Stage and Screen"
12. God, there is so much great stuff happening all over the world. This is from the Ethiopiques series, volume 17 I think, all Tlahoun. I also have #15 and it makes me want the fifteen other volumes I don't have.
13. Anyone have a cd copy of Forrest's All the Gin is Gone? My cassette isn't doing so well.
14. Peel Session. The recording is abysmal.
15. I think this is supposed to be called Dance Beat. Real Sweet. Another Trojan box track, the Producers series I think.
16. The other Air. The band from the 70s with Henry Threadgill, Steve McCall and Fred Hopkins. This has Threadgill playing flute. A quiet end to a quiet mix.
Feedback:
Hmm looks very tasty, A lot I'vent heard but it makes me wanna
Looks great. Love the reggae stuff on here.
Nice. Lots of interesting stuff here. Air Lore was one of my favorite jazz albums in the 70s.
Looks interesting! The Ethiopiques series is GREAT; I like vol 1 and 3 best, along with the Mahmoud Ahmed volumes.
This look great, Nick. Mostly mysteries. Maybe you can help solve them when next we trade! ; )
VERY COOL!
Nothing here known to me Nick but I have faith.
I dig this.
Message: Would like to trade the Film Noir for your exceptional It's Like That and You can call it your mamie if you wanna... Mixes.
Let me know....
Let me know....
Looks mighty fine.
...and that's the way it is. Did that Chaloff box afford you the opportunity to hear "Tricky" Dick Twardzik?
