Comment:

Yep... a big batch o' waltzes. I cheated a bit (some of these are in 6/8 time, rather than the 3/4 waltz standard), but nary a standard 4/4 rock tempo to be found. Primarily mellow or meandering, with a few noisier moments to mix things up a bit. Sure wish I had this at my wedding (nearly 15 years ago), as my wife & I started off with a waltz (6 expensive lessons for 3 minutes of spotlight) and... well, I'm not even gonna name the schlock we had to go with for our first dance as a married couple. Needless to say, I would have preferred something like Built To Spill, but then she never would have married me...

In the immortal words of Tom Waits, in response to an unrelated question: "Never have I waltzed to 'My Country 'Tis Of Thee', nor met anyone who did. Still, it's a waltz, for it's written in waltz time."

Great concept, killer songs from first X to last O, and a genuinely unsettling cover photo.

Brilliant brilliant brilliant brilliant.

Great collection. Elliott wrote plenty of great songs in waltz timing... "Rustic Stairs" is a great song too.

My fave mix of yours in quite some time. This rules. That Clash song just clinches it.

Not your great-granddaddy's waltz music! Are you getting any more mileage out of those waltz lessons now?
I'd be eager to hear this if you think we might work out a trade . . .
