Comment:
Don't you always find rhetoric a lot more persuasive when it has a tune? This is a mix for myself. Why wait, I asked myself? Well, here are a few things that make me wonder.
The first few songs are reasons why I had better give it away, give it away, give it away now. I love Conor Oberst's bored voice on "Lover..".
I was going to celebrate Rebecca St James, for I have never heard anything quite so ironically sex-inspiring as her song, 'Wait for me'. Not her voice, fool; rather, her message is idealised Christian erotic love and it makes me want to puke. I mean, in places, it's cute; but it's a greetings card viw of love and sex. So it's back to back with Bjork's stunningly upbeat "I Miss You", which changes everything. And who can resist Panic!? The boy's right. "You know it will always just be me". Sometimes we act like albatrosses and mate for life, like it or not.
