Comment:

Time once again, for another Father's Day inspired trip through the roots of my sonic obsessions. This year it's a tribute to that symbol of rock excess & artistic bankruptcy, the live LP.

awesome idea. can't think of many live albums that really stand the test of time - always thought that the jam's "dig the new breed" was about as good as they got. well, that and cheap trick. good to see the mighty Tull here.

It's alive! EEE-AW!

(Though I think Dad has outlived a lot of the musicians represented here . . . I guess that's what a little clean living will do for you -- )

What!? No Peter Frampton? You ignored the man who brought us the best selling live album of all time?! He even inspired the cover and name of this mix. You should be ashamed of yourself. That aside, this looks pretty rockin'. Is that photo from the plugged in production of Electric Guitarist on the Roof?
