Where fuzz meets twang
Comment:
Guitarsnob guidebook volume 5. Anyone who's followed my mixes probably saw this coming - my tribute to two great rock n roll guitarists with pretty different sounds and styles, but odd similarities. They both realized that "less is more" and that a guitar melody truly can carry a band. Duane showed us how cool a big ole' Gretsch was, and Davie Allan must have one strong back from carrying that heavy double-neck Mosrite for all those years. When fuzz meets twang, it's a beautiful thang. For Duane Eddy enthusiasts - not digging too deep here, hope you're not disappointed. Any guitar players out there looking to cop Davie's sound need look no further - a friend of mine is building new Mosrite Fuzzrite-clone pedals. They hella-cool!Feedback:
It's a twang thang!
Love it = andI see that you didn't skimp on the wa-wa either. Yay wa-wa!
By the way - I have the body of a double-neck Mosrite. If anyone knows where I can score a couple o' necks......
I'd really like to hear this.I love that twangy guitar sound :-)
Gotta love Davie & Duane!
Twangs a lot!
What would life be without electric guitar? or without Duane Eddy? Not even worth considering . . .
This is a movin' & groovin' set of tunes.
