June 2005: According To Me
Comment:
Rooster is a band that is beginning to grow on me some kind of unmerciful, which is wrong cause their CD is impossible to find, and it'd be unlikely to see them in concert anytime soon. Story of my life though, eh? About the Foo Fighters, I currently am enjoying their new album to an extreme extent, so expect several more from it. The Audioslave track sounds like classic late 90's rock and puts me in a good mood, definitely check that out. The Eels track is also good and I'm listening to a few tracks off that so there may be more from that. The Hot Hot Heat, as, at least my friends well know are growing on me intensely and I have several tracks off the new album that are perfect for one of these mixes, so expect a couple more. And the NFG track, I though I had before, but apparently I hadn't, and this is one of them that had caught me when I listened to it the first time. The Goldfinger track is awesome, so check that too. As for Gavin DeGraw, I really don't want to like him, but when Zack Braff directs one of your videoes, I at least have to watch the video, which in this case means I now like the song. Low Millions put on a good show opening for Butch Walker, every one of their songs they played was awesome, even though they only played a few. I'm definitely keeping an eye on them. Rob Mills chimes in with a nice little catchy ditty here, as does Better Than Ezra, with a track that definitely me and Chad will probably associate with Tetris for a little while longer... Jem turns in another interesting Goth-Techno-Rock song here which I love, Tegan & Sara show signs of growth in my opinion, and Ivy gets another awesome track on here, as does Annie, who I think I have just about played enough. Eminem pops up out of nowhere with another track that had me laughing for a day or two. And Kanye to the, pops in with a phat track featuring my favorite rapper, Jay-Z, and one of only two tolerable songs on the new BEP CD pops up here, expect the other soon. The Streets also pop in with a cute little track in "Could Well Be In", and the Walllflowers who I plan on seeing straight away here pretty soon with one of my favorite tracks off the new album. Ben Lee pops up with another track off "Awake Is The New Sleep" which I imagine I'm going to retire now, and Coldplay's masterful "Fix You" finishes off this disc.Feedback:
could do without some of the songs...but i love the foo, eels, audioslave, tegan and sara...so yeah.
