Comment:
Though I love The Tarantino styled soundtrack - and Martin Scorcese was perhaps the first director to utilise Rock Music for his movie Mean Streets, I love Film Music i.e. music specifically commisioned by the director for his/her movie. Most of these selections are taken from the original soundtracks or from compilations deadicated to the composer - occasionally they have been re-recorded by an orchestra but usually conducted by the composer. Most of these films were made outside the UK or USA or made as joint productions between countries. The composer's nationality is in parenthesis. The director, star & date of film release are also included. All compositions are obviously by the composer. Enjoy!Feedback:
Nicely done Dom!
Cool mix. I like the Chorale from Night and Day...it's a great example of pseudo-baroque.
Wow, crazy.
Looks great!
You know my love of soundtracks, Dom, and this one looks mighty tasty!
This looks really good. Nice one Dom.
Ditto Mr. Metadata...very nice!
Well this is better than a night at the movies. Lots of daring selections - my hat's off to you. I like that City of God soundtrack but I don't think the film fared too well.
this looks Great Dom!!!!!!!!!!
As a fellow lover of film music I can only say wow, this looks fantastic. I love that you have Nusret Fateh Ali Khan on there, and I love the Ennio Morricone (of course) and John Barry. Much kudos for all your, as Mixxer said, daring selections. Well done.
"A bout de souffle" was the first DVD that I bought. I love the soundtrack. Been looking for that one used. Love the Manu Dibango, too. Great as usual.
Gimme! Gimme!
Pleeeeeeeeeeeasssee!
Absolutely incredible. Would be willing to trade...(well pretty much anything) for this one.
