wow. this mix should have been subtitled, "A Good Mix Always Makes Me Feel Better About My Crappy Life," or, "Why I Sometimes Like Pop Music." because my mixes always have a story, this one of course does too, though the plot is not as linear or clear as usual because my relationship with my muse is no longer as clear and linear as it used to be. basically...the romance starts out all nice and happy (too much is never enough!), but quickly dissolves (you've changed) into a back and forth kind of gross mush. this is from the girl's, or my point of view, and her little lover is kind of a douche, and he's leaving her and makes her feel like it's all her fault, when really he's the ass and she should be leaving him. and she threatens to leave, and gets mad and tells him to leave her alone, and apologizes, and tries to make up and tells him not to go (but she's drunk at this point), and in the end she has the wonderful empowering realization that without him, life is good. she doesn't have to shave her legs any more!!!! well. it all makes sense in my head.

Uh, yeah...I'm sure you cleverly arranged the songs to fit a narrative of your mood, and I highly respect that effort (I'm never so meticulous with my own mixes, alas), but seeing as how I'm too dumb to get it, I'll just say that this is a great assortment of songs. Far too short, though. But you got some of the best indie bands recognized, like The Stars, Rilo Kiley, Death Cab, and LCD, and then you cap it off with that damn infectious Kelly Clarkson hit. I applaud you :)
