actually, otis redding wrote satisfaction. aretha covered it. but i prefer his version, i think, and the cover for this is niiiiice :)
Uh, no he didn't. Satisfaction is a Jagger/Richards tune. It was their attempt to write an Otis Redding-style R&B number as a tribute to him, and he covered it less than a year later. The song you're thinking of is "Respect," which Redding wrote and recording and Aretha Franklin later turned into a huge hit.
