Comment:
A variety of cover tunes, mostly faithful, a few revisionists. The Joni Mitchell is a remix with a hip-hop beat that drastically changes the tune while the Hiatt is a live version of a song best known in the version Jeff Healy did. Might be a stretch to include them, but I did anyway. Made for my friend Holly, queen of the mix tape.Feedback:
Good tape, but I thought that the Joni Mitchell and John Hiatt versions of their respective songs were the originals...I could be wrong
Yah, "Big Yellow Taxi" is a Joni Mitchell song but as she said it was a remix. So, not exactly a cover.
you could put the bob dylan version of Big Yellow Taxi -- truly frightening and bizarre
BTW, there is a "cover" category...

The Blues Brothers Band is essentially Booker T & The MG's anyway, with Steve Cropper and Duck Dunn, and the rest of the Stax Records house band floating around. Still a great mix, tho.
I suggest Johnny Cash's version of One. It's a different feel.
