Comment:
A mix for my friend Rob, who heard "The Farmer's Cursed Wife" and "Naughty Sailor's Alphabet", as well as various Beefheart i'd copied for him, and requested a CD of humorous folk songs (why does "funny folk songs" just sound wrong?) -- as you may know, my definition of Folk is rather broad.... Draws on a lot of the same sources as the acapella mix i just posted (Extensor Medullae), for some reason; though for this mix i didn't limit myself to one song per artist. Special note: Track 12, "Traditional Irish Folk Song", is written by Denis Leary!
Feedback:
looks like really good stuff. want to trade folk mixes?
Holy chao! Never thought I'd see Ry Cooder and Seamus Ennis on a tracklist together... 'cept maybe in my living room!
