Comment:

This is actually the fourth of the five-CD "Jesus, Saddam and the Thompson Gunner" mix series i made for JC; it's at the same time the one closest to the original in spirit, and the most idiosyncratically my own. Artists whose songs were appreciated on the first mix are repeated here, and the blend of genres also reminds me of the first mix; i've also put lots of gambles here in terms of artists (Gary Lucas, Phil Ochs, Robert Wyatt, Bj÷rk...), which i think in the end paid off pretty well. The title comes from Cpt. Beefheart's crazy, Mothers Of Invention-backed poem: "A LITTLE CONGLOMERATION TABLE OF PRESSED BLACK FELT!"
