Any other suggestions are welcome...
Feedback:
Another Pablo track to consider is "Mr. Phang, Mr. Wong, Mr. Chin." from the truth and wizdom Perry comp. called 1971-5. Great mix. I'm going to sit here and get "chinese-eyed."
God, the Mosaic Tristano/Konitz/Marsh...Two Thumbs Up
Ooo! Ooo! "Kung Fu" by Ash. Fits in thematically, though not as well musically . . . At any rate, sweet idea!
I dig the theme a lot and any excuse to include a classic Eric B & Rakim track is OK by me.
This is cool. Nice mix of styles. Not enough folks use/have heard of Lenny Breau -- nice to see his inclusion here. Greg Brown has a cool song called "China," but it might not work in this conext. Screamin' Jay Hawkins has a fun tune called Hong Kong, and I have a version of Hong Kong Blues by Amos Garrett that would fit here.
awesome
Chockablock with culture shock!
I went to Chinatown
'way back in old Hong Kong
To get some Egg Foo Yung
And then I heard a gong
Ling ting tong tried to sing that song
Called Tie-ess-a mo-cum boo-die-ay
Tie-ess-a mo-cum boo
Ling ting tong, he would never be wrong
Go on and sing your song, a-ling ting tong

I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand,
walkin' through the streets of Soho in the rain.
He was lookin' for a place called Lee-ho Fook's,
gonna' get a big dish of Beef Chow-Mein...
Arrr-Oooooo...nice lookin' mix, here; Arrr-Oooooooo...

Great suggestions everybody! I might have to make a disc two. Jeff, I'm not surprised you came up with a total winner. I'm slipping in Ling Ting Tong at number two (the Five Keys original).
Song of the East from the Aquarius Rock: The Hip Reggae World of Herman Chin-Loy compilation would be nice, I believe.
Others include: Wet Firecracker by Silkworm from their album, Firewater. Chinese Takeaway by the Adicts off their Complete Singles Collection and the many fine choices within the Exotica/Lounge genre: Hong Kong Blues by Martin Denny to name one.

Very interesting!
Suggestions: "Chinese Love Affair" by the Mighty Sparrow, "Chinese Restaurant" by Sarstendt Brother, and "Chinese Water Torture", from Disney's "Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House" lp.
Great. Keep um coming. Part two would be more open ended musically (more rock).
This one looks awesome/intriguing. Yes please!
Wow - a lot of thought went into this - hugely successfully, IMHO. Interesting to see the evolution of it, too.
