I am refugee from New Orleans, La. currently residing in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This mix is summarizing the loss and subsequent finding of one my very best friends; whom I thought might have drowned after the 17th Street levee broke flooding her area of the city known as the Lower 9th Ward. Tracks 1,6,10,12 have special meaning for us. Especially the Tears For Tears track (as not only did I own the album on vinyl, she plays it on the jukebox for me no matter where we go). And also the New Order track because like the lyrics state we've never met anyone like each other before. And I'm sure we never will. I can be nothing more than thankful since she called confirming her safety.
