Here’s where you’ll find a host of virtuoso vocalists who could easily be mistaken for angels . . . just check out the tone and emotive crackle in Aaron Neville’s version of “Ave Maria” — sung, as it was meant to be, in Latin — and warm to the smooth jazz mastery of Al Jarreau’s “Silent Night.” Macy Gray lends her distinctive tones to “This Christmas (Hang All the Mistletoe),” Marvin cuts to the quick with the sweet despair of “I Want to Come Home for Christmas,” and Lou Rawls’ exquisite unaccompanied take on “Auld Lang Syne” will leave every eye in the house moist.
