Comment:

Another self-inflicted case of Orchidosis. I added the year of release to make it that much more obvious. How 'bout some notes too?
New Zealand's Human Instinct featured the extreme sounds of guitarist Billy T.K., the rock snob's Jimi Hendrix and a full blooded Maori Indian to boot.
The Young Flowers are allegedly Denmark's first supergroup, though other than sounding like a more phased-out Cream I don't know what warrants this title. Maybe it's the guitarist's blonde-fro?
Praise be to Shawn Porter for sending me the Christian psyche comp from which the inspiring Father Berkery track came from. Anyone who can provide me with a copy of his full LP should contact me to discuss swaps, vital organ donations, etc.
The Jacks were late period Group Sound also-rans 'til they released their VU damaged LP, Vacant World. Said to be a big influence on legendary mysterions Les Rallizes Denudes, this song was also covered by Fushitsusha on Tokyo Flashback, vol. 2.
Frankiphone player Philip Cohran provides the hidden link between Sun Ra and Earth, Wind & Fire. An early member of the Arkestra, he helped launch the AACM & hooked up with down & out Chess session players to release flipped-out cosmic "spirit music". After splitting from Cohran, the band became much more conventionally funky, first as The Pharaohs then later joining Maurice White's Earth, Wind & Fire.
Bobby Conn wants to touch your children.

Orchidosis? Sounds dreadful... I hope that isn't you on the cover (but if it is, rest assured you're cuter than Jeff Goldblum). This mix is beautiful... the perfect blend of stuff I know (artists-wise, at least), and stuff I'd like to know. I especially ove-lay the evin-Kay oyne-Cay. Woof!
